Rocketbook

This is something I stumbled upon while browsing Amazon lightening deals one night, and I am so glad I did!

The Rocketbook is a reusable smart notebook – translation: write your notes, lists, calendars, schedules, sketches, etc., snap a picture with the app, and send it to any of your pre-programmed destinations! When you are done, simply wipe the page clean to reuse it over and over. What’s really amazing about this, is that later on (like when your student is studying for an exam), you can search the notes with Rocketbook’s handwriting recognition software. Crisp, clean, searchable notes that add NO clutter, what could be better!?

I bought the Rocketbook Fusion for my 9th grader for two main reasons:

1) Biology Notes: my student takes notes on each video biology lecture, and goes back through them for his tests. With Rocketbook, he sends me his note page after every lecture, so I can check it to make sure he is being thorough. When the next test comes up, he’ll be able to easily flip through the notes, or search for specific topics.

2) Handwritten Homework: my 9th grader is studying AP music theory, and has weekly tutoring sessions over video chat, because his instructor is in a different state. Each week, my son has handwritten homework, which up until this point, has been crudely photographed and the photo emailed. Now, my son can write his answers on a Rocketbook page and scan it in for a beautifully crisp finished product. His theory teacher’s email has been programmed as one of his regular destinations, so with the click of a button, his homework can be sent off, beautifully readable!

Rocketbook has several versions and sizes, and all are available on Amazon or the Rocketbook website. Check out some videos online for cool demonstrations on how to use these awesome smart notebooks!
